CARCHECKHQ REPORT GUIDE

Car emissions, fuel figures and tax references

Emissions and running-cost figures need context. A manufacturer reference, a current tax status and a local clean-air-zone charge answer different questions.

Current coverage

CarCheckHQ can display supplied CO₂, consumption and VED reference figures. They are not a complete current tax quotation, a real-world fuel-cost guarantee or a clean-air-zone decision.

How to interpret coverage and missing information

Read reference figures with their units

Check whether a figure describes CO₂, fuel consumption or a monetary reference. Manufacturer and source figures may differ from how the specific car performs in your use. Missing values should remain unknown.

Check current charges with the responsible service

Use GOV.UK for current vehicle tax information and the relevant official zone checker before travelling. The government clean-air-zone page links to separate routes for London and Scotland. A CO₂ value alone does not confirm a zone exemption or your full tax liability.

Before you make a decision

  • Confirm the exact fuel type and specification.
  • Keep source reference figures separate from current charges.
  • Check the official tax and relevant zone service for your intended use.

Common questions

Does the report confirm ULEZ or every clean-air-zone exemption?

No. Use the applicable official checker. CarCheckHQ does not infer eligibility from a CO₂ value or generic vehicle description.
